Carmella Gadsen will explain how millennials view politics and show us the best ways to reach out to them and keep their interest.
Carmella Gadsen is the Green Dot Violence Prevention Strategy Coordinator operating out of the UNLV Jean Nidetch Women’s Center. The Las Vegas native graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2015. An active member of the Las Vegas and UNLV community, she is a National Education for Women’s Leadership (NEWL) Nevada alum, a Victim Assistance Academy of Nevada graduate, a Make It Work Nevada Ambassador, proud member of Womxn of Color LV, and has participated in V-Day, a global movement to end violence against womxn and girls since 2011. Most recently, Carmella joined the Steering Committee for the Nevada Women’s Lobby. Her interests include mental health, civic engagement, and intersectional feminism.
