• We will host two US Senate candidates, Bobby Mahendra and Jesse Sbaih.   Nevada Governor candidate Henry Thorns will also speak.   There is always the chance other candidates will stop by!

• It’s HenDems officer election time and we have elections for the following positions on the board – President, 1st Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, Member at-large

Linda Cavazos – 1st Vice President
Kathy Butler – Corresponding Secretary
Nate Henderson – Treasurer
James Zygaldo – Member at-large

If anyone is interested in running for one of these positions, please send an email to hendemsclub@gmail.com and the office that you are interested in running for – We will announce any races at the May meeting and hold elections at that meeting.

• The Henderson Democratic Club is co-hosting a larger candidate event with the Women’s Democratic Club on Sunday May 6. At 4:00 pm we will enjoy a barbeque and a candidate forum runs from 4:30 to 8:00 pm. Location: International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 720, located at 3000 South Valley View Blvd. There should be a large list of candidates from State, Legislative and local races at this event.
